Apparently,

a period of weariness has set in.

What does it mean that this is probably the most often repeated statement I come upon in my research? And is today's weariness as good as yesterday's? I'd like this on a t-shirt, with russian on the front/english on the back.

No, no, not my thoughts. Never. But it seems every time any one of my subjects goes to sum up the state of things, whatever year it is, a period of weariness has set in. It's poetic really. Also, I really like this phrase. And I like its Russian equivalent just as much: очевидно, периуд усталости наступил.
